Upcoming migration: please verify your auth token formatting from 2026-07-21 15:49 UTC to 2026-07-29 16:49 UTC

We’re migrating traffic for the Leaderboards and Cloud Save services to an updated backend infrastructure. As part of this change, authorization token parsing will become stricter.

In some cases, tokens containing extra characters such as a trailing newline or other invisible/whitespace characters that currently work without issue may start returning a 401 Authorization header should contain ‘Basic <public-identifier>:<secret>’ error after the migration.

What to do: Before July 28 we recommend double-checking how your auth token is generated and stored to ensure it doesn’t contain unexpected trailing characters.
